CJAY was specifically formulated for those going through Topical Steroid Withdrawal, which is why it is perfect for anyone with sensitive skin.
Having suffered from Topical Steroid Withdrawal themselves, founders Lou and Jing understand the importance of skincare that is gentle, effective and does not cause irritation to extremely sensitive skin.
This is why CJAY was formulated without the use of common irritants to sensitive skin, such as fragrances, oils, parabens, sulphates and alcohol, making it perfect for all skin types.
However, everyone is bio-individual and all skin is unique, so we would highly recommend that you patch test your affected skin area 24 hours prior to regular use.

We advise using the serum on its own and do not recommend layering any products on top as this may impact its effectiveness.

No, CJAY Rejuvenate Serum does not contain whole liquorice extract.
You may have spotted an ingredient called ‘Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate’ which we add to the formula for its trace minerals that aid in skin-cell proliferation.
While this is one component of liquorice extract, it does not have any suppressive qualities and is not harmful.

Our serum is absolutely safe for external use and has been tried and tested for safety according to GMP standards.

No, the serum does not contain any harmful or medicinal ingredients. See the full ingredients list in the FAQs to check for any existing allergies.

As with all products, it is best to patch test on a small area of your skin and wait 24 hours.
Reactions aren’t common but should you experience one, we would advise you to stop usage immediately and wash the affected area with clean water.

The serum was formulated by Dr. Chanchai Chutsirimongkol with the help of his medical team. Dr. Chanchai is the Wound Healing Project Leader of the Thailand Centre of Excellence for Life Sciences, and his medical team have been treating skin concerns for more than 17 years.

When the skin is exposed to long-term use of certain medications, such as Topical Steroids, its cells are immunomodulated (i.e. their function is suppressed), resulting in a reduced regeneration rate, delayed recovery, and extremely weak and sensitive skin.
Contact CAP directly reverses the effects of these medications by triggering the skin cells’ growth factors back to a normal rate (hello, rejuvenated skin).
It also kills and renders harmless any ‘bad’ bacteria and fungus on the skin (goodbye, infections) and acts as an exfoliator (through little particles called electrons and ions) which is gentle enough for even the most sensitive and damaged skin .
Weekly sessions are required at the start of treatment to rebuild the skin’s strength; the duration and frequency of treatment can be reduced once the skin cell’s regeneration rate is stable.

When pathogens on the skin and in the air come into contact with CAP, they react with its unstable atoms (radicals such as ozone). These alter the lipids, proteins and nucleic acids of the bacteria, killing them or rendering them harmless.

Contact CAP produces electrons and various ions, which bounce off the skin’s surface, acting as a very fine exfoliator on the skin. This exfoliation is gentle enough for even the most sensitive and damaged skin.

From the moment you arrive in our clinic to when you walk out of the door, we do our utmost to make you feel safe and comfortable.
Upon arrival, we will take pictures of your skin so we – and you – can track your progress. It’s wonderful to look back at the original photos to see how far you’ve come in your skin journey!
After this, we will bring you into one of our homely treatment rooms and all you need to do is lie down and relax, ready for the treatment.
One of our qualified nurses or therapists will perform your treatment, which is very relaxing in itself – it’s not uncommon for patients fall asleep during the procedure!
For those requiring treatment on large areas of the body, please come in comfortable clothing that can be removed easily.

The duration of each session is dependent on the surface area requiring treatment. However, if you go to our Treatment page, you will find a diagram which offers a guide as to the approximate time needed for each body area.

For optimum results, all treatments begin at a frequency of once per week.
Once your skin has strengthened substantially, the duration between treatments can be extended to once every 10 days, then 14 days, once per month, and so on, until you are independent of treatment.
How quickly this process occurs depends on the extent of your baseline condition and other lifestyle factors.

Ultra-Pulse Contact CAP creates nanopores on the skin which allow deeper and more efficient absorption of products into the skin’s layers.
However, these nanopores also cause the skin to be more sensitive to environmental irritants and allergens for 48 hours after the treatment.
We advise taking plenty of rest straight after treatment and avoiding any known irritants/allergens in your surroundings for the following 48 hours.
