Ultra-Pulse Contact CAP
What is Ultra-Pulse Contact CAP?
CAP technology is an emerging technology in aesthetic and medical sciences. It is a form of electromagnetic wave therapy and is commonly used in the treatment of chronic wounds. It has been proven popular in applications to skin concerns due to its ability to accelerate healing, while reducing the bacterial load on the skin, without negative effects.
How is Ultra-Pulse Contact CAP therapy different?
Our Ultra-Pulse Contact CAP machine has been specially calibrated to be used on sensitive, damaged, and wounded skin. It is a medical-grade machine which provides a strong healing power, allowing it to reactivate the cell regeneration rate in poorly healing TSW skin and significantly reducing elephant/hardened skin.
The Science…
1. Triggering growth factors in the skin cell to increase regeneration rate
When the skin has been exposed to long term use of certain medications, the skin cells are immunomodulated and their regeneration rate is significantly reduced, causing slow recovery and extremely weak and sensitive skin. Contact CAP directly reverses the effects of these medications by triggering the growth factors of the skin cells back to a normal rate. This is similar to working a muscle that has not moved for a long period of time.
Weekly sessions are required at the start of treatment to rebuild the skin’s strength; the duration and frequency of treatment can be reduced once the skin cell’s regeneration rate is stable.
2. Eradicates ‘bad’ bacteria and fungus
The second function of Ultra Pulse Contact CAP is killing ‘bad’ bacteria and fungal growth on the skin. When pathogens on the skin and in the air come into contact with CAP, they react with its unstable atoms (radicals such as ozone). These alter the lipids, proteins and nucleic acids of the bacteria, killing them or rendering them harmless.
3. Micro-exfoliation for hardened skin
Contact CAP produces electrons and various ions. These electrons bounce off the skin’s surface, acting as a very fine exfoliator on the skin. This exfoliation is gentle enough for even sensitive and damaged skin.
How is our treatment different?
CAP therapy has wide applications, with its main application being beauty and aesthetics. The Ultra-Pulse Contact CAP machine has been specially calibrated to be used on sensitive, damaged, and wounded skin. It is a medical-grade machine which provides a strong healing power, allowing it to reactivate the cell regeneration rate in poorly healing TSW skin and significantly reducing elephant/hardened skin.
Contact CAP Technology: Dr. Chanchai Chutsirimongkol has achieved the difficult task of delivering CAP directly to the skin via contact on the skin’s surface, increasing its efficacy and safety as well as its wound healing power.

Apply for CAP Therapy
If you are interested in applying for, or finding out more about CAP (Cold Atmospheric Plasma) therapy, please complete the online therapy application form:
Await Contact for Scheduling:
Once you have completed the application form you can expect contact within 1 to 10 working days, to either:
A. Explain why we cannot provide you with CAP therapy at this time; or
B. Arrange an Online Information Session.
Online Information Session with TSW Specialist:
Attend an initial assessment session with a TSW Specialist Nurse to evaluate your condition and determine suitability for CAP therapy.
This session confirms eligibility and tailors the treatment plan to your needs.
Introductory Therapy Session:
This starts with a meeting with the TSW Specialist Nurse, to recap the treatment plan and where you will sign a service agreement, and acknowledgement of treatment protocols, followed by your first therapy session.
CAP Therapy Treatment Plan:
Complete CAP therapy sessions, typically scheduled weekly, based on your treatment plan.
Sessions are delivered by trained therapists, lasting from 15 minutes to 2.5 hours, depending on the skin area treated.
Ongoing monitoring by therapists ensures you get the most from your treatment plan.
Regular Reviews:
Attend review sessions with the TSW Specialist Nurse at 3 and 6 months. The nurse will also check in with you every other week or when required.
The specialist provides a progress report, assessing improvements and recommending adjustments to the treatment plan.
Treatment Duration:
CAP therapy plans typically last 6 months, and will then taper down to fortnightly, 3-weekly, monthly and then to maintenance. This discussion and decision will take place between you and the TSW Specialist Nurse.
We look forward to seeing you soon!

Procedure & Aftercare
What is the procedure like?
It is a priority of ours to ensure that you feel safe and comfortable during your treatment. The treatment itself is very relaxing and sometimes people fall asleep!
Upon arrival, we will take pictures of your skin to track your progress. After which, your treatment begins - all you have to do is lie down and relax and our nurses/therapists will perform the treatment on you.
For those requiring treatment on large areas of the body, please come in comfortable clothing that can be removed easily.
How long do I need per session?
*How long each treatment session depends on the surface area requiring treatment. Here are some rough estimates of treatment time needed per area. Do note that these timings are for estimation purposes only; actual treatment time depends on your skin condition.
How often do I need treatment?
You will begin treatment at a frequency of once a week. When your skin has become sufficiently stronger, you may extend treatment to once every 10 days, then 14 days, once a month and so forth, until you are independent of treatment. How quickly your skin becomes stronger and independent enough depends on your condition baseline and other lifestyle factors.
What must I do after treatment and is there any downtime?
The treatment creates nanopores on the skin which allow deeper and more efficient absorption of products into the skin’s layers. However, these nanopores also cause the skin to be more sensitive to environmental irritants and allergens 48 hours after the treatment.
We advise taking plenty of rest straight after treatment and avoiding any known irritants/allergens in your surroundings during these 48 hours.
Regular skin check-ins - healing is not linear and we understand that; we hold your hand throughout your journey and ride out any bumps along the way with you
Condition analysis - we work with you to figure out causes of flares and other complications e.g. hardened skin, fungal infections
Care progress reports - you receive reports on your progress at key milestones/checkpoints in your journey, along with care tips and directions for healing
Education - Patients get free access to educational tools and fortnightly lectures (beginning March 2026) to equip themselves with the knowledge on how to manage this chronic condition and enjoy a better quality of life.
Additional support - we advocate for you if you need help explaining your condition, and refer you to other professionals if you require additional help
TSW healing is not just about the CAP machine. It’s 50% technology and 50% the care and healing behind it. You deserve to be cared for by a team that truly understands TSW and its complications.
At Skin Solace Clinic, we provide both.
